Reproductive Health
Many young people in difficult circumstances grow up without access to accurate, age-appropriate information about their own health. Our Reproductive Health program provides education that helps youth understand their bodies and make informed, safe decisions.
This work is delivered with care and cultural sensitivity, in partnership with local leaders and communities, as part of our broader commitment to protecting the wellbeing of children and youth.
Protection of the Rights of Youth and Children
Vulnerable children and youth, especially orphans, are often the least able to advocate for themselves. This program focuses on protecting the rights of youth and children through advocacy, community awareness, and safeguarding practices.
BAROFE works to make sure the most vulnerable are not overlooked — helping to ensure they are seen, heard, and protected as they grow.
Primary and Secondary Environmental Youth Clubs
Environmental awareness starts young. Our Primary and Secondary Environmental Youth Clubs give school-going children and youth a structured, hands-on way to learn about and take responsibility for their environment.
Beyond environmental knowledge, these clubs build leadership and teamwork skills that carry into every other part of a young person's life.
Vocational Training Centre
Education alone is not always enough — many vulnerable youth need practical, employable skills. Our Vocational Training Centre provides hands-on training designed to help young people become self-reliant and ready for work.
This program is central to BAROFE's mission of helping the most vulnerable children and youth build independent, dignified futures for themselves.
Environmental Conservation
The communities BAROFE serves depend directly on the natural environment around them. Our Environmental Conservation program mobilizes community-led action to protect and restore that environment for future generations.
By combining conservation with youth engagement, this program strengthens both the land and the young people who will one day be responsible for it.

Social Entrepreneurship
Poverty among young people rarely ends with a single handout — it ends when a young person can generate their own income. Our Social Entrepreneurship program equips youth with practical, small-business skills so they can start sustainable income-generating activities suited to their own communities.
Through capacity building and mentorship, participants learn the basics of managing money, planning a small enterprise, and turning a skill into a livelihood — reducing long-term dependency and building independence.
